Workers have started gathering at the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra where the protest march is will set off.
The demonstration which comes of today will be followed by a nationwide strike on January 21 and 22.

But Organised Labour has rejected this, insisting that the current economic situation in the country does not merit the levels being imposed on Ghanaians, adding that this will cripple them.
Government has increased water by 67.2% and electricity by 59.2%.
In addition, it has also introduced the energy sector levy which saw a rise in the prices of petroleum products.
