A Skip truck (refuse collecting truck) was on Wednesday afternoon gutted by fire at Ashaley Botwe, a suburb of Accra.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known. The incident happened around the St. Peter’s School at an area known as Maradona down.
The truck at the time of the incident was on its way to empty its content after carting rubbish from the area.
The incident caused power cut in the area as electricity lines were burnt by the fire.
After personnel of the Fire Service managed to douse the fire, the truck had been burnt beyond repairs.
