President John Mahama has arrived at the Jubilee park in Wa in the Upper West Region to join workers mark this year’s May Day celebration.
All working people of Ghana will today join millions across the world to mark the day, as similar events are taking place in the 10 regions across the country.The event will see workers voice out their grievances to the president in order to find effective ways to deal with them.
In Ghana, the day is being marked under the theme: “Election 2016: The Role of Workers in Securing Peaceful Elections for National Development.”
Police in the Upper West region have heightened security to ensure an incident-free celebration.
